Problem
Life becomes worthy when you start doing something that gives comfort and ease to others. To make other’s ways clear and easy is a big step in one’s life. As in Amal Academy Fellowship, each fellow must work on a Mega Project through which one can participate in the well-being of our society.
Most of us are unable to find workers like Electricians, Plumber, Painter, and Mechanics during our need. It likely to happen with household women, handicap people or people who are living out of their hometowns, no matter which class they belong they have this problem.
Solution
Based on identified issue, we are going to create a digital platform named Kam-Asan (website on blogspot.com) which act as a bridge between skilled workers and potential employers it serves as a data bank, where people will be most likely to find their required worker’s contact according to respected location. We focused on five cities (Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas) however, it can be expanded to other cities of Pakistan according to the response we get after launch.
Our task is to upload authentic contacts on our website we are not responsible for the either quality of work or fare charged by worker. This will be completely depending on communication between employee and worker however, the customers can give their feedback in form of rating on our site. our main revenue stream will be AdSense we are not going to charge anything from either customers or workers this is a free service for all.
There are three major phases of this project.
Phase 1
In this phase all members are utilizing their networking to find worker’s information which includes their Name, Contact #, Expertise, and location (town, city) this task is ongoing throughout the Mega project.
Phase 2
We have set a threshold of 50 workers to initiate website development, and till now we have successfully collected information of 70 workers using our personal and professional network. Website development is in process preliminary screen shots are as follows
Phase 3
During website development period a Facebook page will be create which serves two purposes. Initially it will be used for promotion of our website as well as for feedback. Secondly, this page will be utilized to connect with skilled workers for that we display a contact number, by this number workers can contact us to register themselves.
This platform will surely bring ease because using our facility one can find his/her needed worker without paying a single penny for our services whenever and where ever they want all they need to do is visit our user friendly website and make a call to his potential worker.
Division of Task
There are six members in group, we have divided in three subgroups.
By the end of this week our website will be ready then we begin with social media activities. Due to COVID-19 situation most of us faced problems to approach workers as many of them work from home. However, by using our personal and professional networks we will list down 200 workers soon. after ten days of launch we will buy domain for our site, for the next two weeks we plan to focus on promotional activities and bring people to our website as many possible while continuously updating data.
To measure the impact, we will put a counter that keeps the record of visit on daily basis. Secondly, a feedback form will also be available which help us to understand the demand of our customers so that we can do all necessary arrangements to satisfy them.
To make our project sustain in long run we will make sure to keep increasing our data reserves by the time this will not only increase the number of visits but also provide opportunity to engage with customers and workers both.
